Beauty and the Beast
Sun, 7 Sept 2008, 02:55 pmI'm sure I'm not on my lonesome when I wish Playlovers the greatest of success with their forthcoming production of Beauty and the Beast. To see one of our own putting on a show at the Regal is fantastic! I know they're not the first to do so, but it's up to all of us involved in the local theatre community to offer our support to our colleagues by telling the whole of Perth about this must see and support event.
PS: And before I'm asked the obvious...yes, I shall certainly be going, and before you ask Walter...No, I'm not involved in any way with this production.
cheers

Sun, 14 Sept 2008, 03:06 pmI'm attempting to remember what year it was I was in Melbourne & my mate Ratty [Mike] worked on the Pro B&B there at the same time. But I reckon it would have been late '95 & Bobby is right!
Well if nothing else, from my 'ol China plate Bobby V's post. This forum has proved the old adage of PJ Barnum, that there is no such thing as bad publicity. { His other one attributed to him, obviously could not be levelled at the PL 'B&B'}.
From all accounts I have heard the production company, cast & crew. Have killed them in the aisles - G'donya Susan Vincent, you can certainly add you Direction & performance, to your collection - not counting your other Tea Pot collection at home. {Although that's not a bad idea, having a stylised tea pot produced, as a Directors show gift?]
An out standing Toi Toi Chookas & ovation for the whole company. Along with the Board of management of Play lovers.
Maybe your next venture could be something like 'Barnum'?
