I'm sure I'm not on my lonesome when I wish Playlovers the greatest of success with their forthcoming production of Beauty and the Beast. To see one of our own putting on a show at the Regal is fantastic! I know they're not the first to do so, but it's up to all of us involved in the local theatre community to offer our support to our colleagues by telling the whole of Perth about this must see and support event. PS: And before I'm asked the obvious...yes, I shall certainly be going, and before you ask Walter...No, I'm not involved in any way with this production. cheers Johnny Grim A lad in sane productions

Interesting that in this thread, Playlovers have been accused of being as far removed from community theatre as one could possibly get, yet they have stated publicly (via the West Australian newspaper) that they intend donating any proceeds to charity. One might say they're going out on a limb to help the community. Irony, sucha wonderful word. PS: I applaud the members of Playlovers for having the dignity to ignore some of the comments made here.
