12 year old girl lookiing for small speaking TV or Movie role.
Mon, 14 May 2007, 07:04 pmHi my name is -------. I'm 12 years old and i live in Melbourne. I have blond hair and green eyes. I'm looking for a TV or movie part not for money but for experience. lately at my school i was awarded Best Actress in a Supporting Role and have been in many school plays. I know i might not sound like the best option because i don't have that much experience but please if you give me a go i won't let you down!
Please contact me at ---------- or on my mobile --------- (weekends or 12.35pm - 1pm and 4pm - 9pm weekdays only thanks)
Thank You
p.s i'm not the sensetive type so if you take me i won't be offended if you don't want me once you meet me.
I agree. I took a little
Thu, 21 June 2007, 11:51 amI agree. I took a little trawl through Mietta's profile, and it is clear that she posted on this site with (possibly, I'm making a guess here on her thoughts and mind set) no real intention of coming back. The only reason the thread is so long is because a bunch of us did try to help; when she didn't get the answer she wanted, Mietta replied. But she's not replied since to our more specific advice.
I don't think there is a 'reward without work syndrome' as such. Consider how closed off the information really is: to get auditions, finding agents, etc. As I said, most don't take the time to offer advice, so it's not so much a lack of work ethic (although I'm definitely not saying that isn't a large part of it) as it is about a lack of information easily accessible.
Of course, one can say that the information can easily be found here if you are so inclined to dig for it. But that brings us back to two points: one, that it isn't obvious where the FAQ is or where the best threads are for these types of answers; and two, that nobody tends to have the ethic enough to work for it. (Although I suppose anyone who does dig for the information wouldn't have any reason to post 'please help me' threads, and therefore it's only the people who don't dig that do post.)
