12 year old girl lookiing for small speaking TV or Movie role.
Mon, 14 May 2007, 07:04 pmHi my name is -------. I'm 12 years old and i live in Melbourne. I have blond hair and green eyes. I'm looking for a TV or movie part not for money but for experience. lately at my school i was awarded Best Actress in a Supporting Role and have been in many school plays. I know i might not sound like the best option because i don't have that much experience but please if you give me a go i won't let you down!
Please contact me at ---------- or on my mobile --------- (weekends or 12.35pm - 1pm and 4pm - 9pm weekdays only thanks)
Thank You
p.s i'm not the sensetive type so if you take me i won't be offended if you don't want me once you meet me.
10 points for trying

Take the advice above for it will truly serve you well...
However do your homework. I do not have an agent but can still get work, the trick is to be as versatile as possible, flexible as possible and do a lot of hard work.
Make connections with people in the industry; for you I would perhaps suggest to do some amateur theatre first so you can get an idea of what it is like working outside of school.
Second I would get into as many student films as I can...uni students are often so desperate for actor they will snatch you up, even if it is just a walk on role its still experience.
Thirdly, expand your knowledge and skills. By doing the above points they help, but then go and learn how to do other things behind the scenes. Lighting, editing, directing, producing, dancing, radio, choreography, costume design, the list goes on and on of what new skills you can learn.
AND I WILL JUST MAKE THIS CLEAR...you do not have to spend a fortune learning these skills from institutions such as school. Go on sets, talk to the people, and ask if you can help. Hands on training is the best experience.
I wish you all the luck in the world but just remember you need VERY tough skin for this industry but good luck.
Keep Smiling :)
