Stage Door School in Subiaco

I'm considering doing the part time musical theatre course at Stage Door School in Subiaco (Perth) next year. Anyone completed this course before and if so, was it a worthwhile investment? It's going to be quite costly as you are required to have a singing lesson every week on top of the course. I hear their students have quite a good record in WAAPA success.

There seem to be a lot of "Music Theatre" courses popping up around the place... Quite honestly, if a course isn't fully accredited, I would be wary of it. With these courses, the course cost quoted does not usually include other costs you are expected to cover (costuming, extra lessons outside of the course, accompanists, etc). You may find that the ACTUAL cost of doing the course is equal to (or greater than) the cost of just doing independent singing, acting and dance lessons. Also, if the course is time consuming, but not fully accredited, you will not be able to work much, and will also not be able to get any study assistance. Remember, the time and money you shell out for this course is essentially paying for that bit of paper you get at the end. And unfortunately no-one in the industry is going to be impressed with a course that hasn't been accredited.
