Stage Door School in Subiaco
Mon, 26 Dec 2005, 08:10 amI'm considering doing the part time musical theatre course at Stage Door School in Subiaco (Perth) next year. Anyone completed this course before and if so, was it a worthwhile investment? It's going to be quite costly as you are required to have a singing lesson every week on top of the course. I hear their students have quite a good record in WAAPA success.

Hey.
I don't know what everyone else thinks of Stage Door.....but last year I did the full time musical theatre course. Ian Westrip is the head of S.D. He will be your singing teacher. Phil Talbot is the dance teacher and you'll have a few acting teachers.
I'll say honestly, it is a very un-organised course. The dance classes are great...you'll improve in your singing as I did....and although some of the people can be up-themselves...the classes help and if you're willing the spend a couple of grand then yeah, go for it. Don't hesitate. Sign up for the course.
