I'm considering doing the part time musical theatre course at Stage Door School in Subiaco (Perth) next year. Anyone completed this course before and if so, was it a worthwhile investment? It's going to be quite costly as you are required to have a singing lesson every week on top of the course. I hear their students have quite a good record in WAAPA success.

I recommend Ian Westrip for singing, and Jody Marshall for dancing. Contrary to prior posts, it is not bitchy there at all. The only way I could see that happening was if you were an instigator causing trouble. However, it is best for people who have a bit of experience. You will get taught how to dance with style there, which is more than I can say for other 'trendy' places popping up around Perth. Ian is brilliant for beginners. I had never had a singing lesson in my life before starting with Ian, and I got accepted into WAAPA through his hard work with me (if that is what your goal is).
