will people please stop advertising themselfs on the forums

Along the lines of self promotion why won't specific arts insurers insure self promoting shows or performances? I am finding it quite interesting to work out public liability insurance for the 'self promoted' show. However I have been finding quite useful advice on this forum. So thanks to the people that do post helpful answers. I must also say I don't see why there is a problem with people advertising themselves...I mean ultimately you don't have to click on their post and read it. If something doesn't interest you...don't read it! And anyway it could be worse...it could just be annoying evil spam for various products that 'increase things' (I'm on a school computer and have a feeling my account will be blocked if I type a 'naughty word'). That is the kidn of post that shouldn't be appearing. Otherwise, you never know who you might find here, they might have a great idea, the might have a great talent, they might be the next big thing...who knows! Sean
