I have just ordered a batch of direct replacement lamp bases to suit the Patt 23/123/ 223/45/264 Strand lights and they will cost under $20 each and this will make it economical to repair these older lights as currently a similar base costs $80 and then you have to re-drill holes to make it fit.Anyone who may be able to use these please contact me.

Thanks for the info. Much appreciated. I have been using my tunnel vision again when it comes to lamps and efficency. I'll stick to the P28 round prefocus lamps and the holders that I already have. I actually have the lamps already, will just need to reorder when they die. Thanks all!
