Critical Behaviour

This was in the recent Playlovers newsletter - too true !!

Critical behaviour
It is a sad day when one of the several no gooders out there amongst our theatrical world decide to get on Theatre Australia and other networks to just bad mouth and say negative things about a particular theatre, person, or show, etc.

Whilst everyone is still entitled to their opinion, what can possibly be gained by the negative, nasty and rude remarks left by the ‘unverified’... ????

Is it the no-gooders role to attempt to shut down a thriving voluntary thespian network?

What sort of an example is this critical behaviour showing our youth except possibly teaching them another meaning to ‘exit stage left’.

Community theatre has a duty to encourage, respect, guide and provide support and constructive criticism with an outcome for growth.

If you know someone that likes to behave in this unruly fashion, then please, encourage them to stop this anti thespian behaviour and show some respect.

Firstly, I am not hiding under a false name. Ripper Hargreves is my name, I was born in Queensland in 1967 and moved to Perth in 82 with my Family. I have actively been involved in the Arts for a number of years. I have visited most clubs. My intentions to my postings were merely an opinon on the ITA, people who I know extremely well, I have always found their circle a very clicky system and it saddens me. It is a very bias organisation. This is my opinion. To my earlier posts I was merely being comical and a lot of the references were tounge and cheek.. especially - pausing for effect... It was humour, obviously not every Australians cup of tea... I was trying to point out that there are people who are trying to be too serious and intellegent on this site..
