I am 15 years old and love acting, but have not been able to do much of it as of yet. I am wondering how I could get an acting role or if there were any spots available. I live in NSW, it would need to be within the state. Can any one help?

I wonder if that person from Springfield might have the last name of Simpson rather than what they have posted?

I fear that the post from Thor titled "GO BAK TOO SKOOL" may have been done with tongue in cheek, however I will trust it hasn't and say that it sums what would appear to be the "trendy way" to talk and spell, I.E. street talk and SMS style, none of which endears them to anyone who might in the least have any interest in what they may or may not have to offer. (As "A Director" suggested in their previous post, not).
Of course there is always the possibility that these "peeps" are just posting to get a rise from the likes of myself et al.
About all it suggests to me is that they want to be real overnight stars rather than the five or more year or so "overnight" stars that they see on the box or silver screen.
OK, so some of them have gained stardom with not a lot of effort (Home & Away, Neighbours, something or other Idol etc...) but the real big "stars" remained relative unknowns for quite some time just working away in the background as an extra gaining experience, remaining ever hopeful that one day they might just make "THE BIG TIME".
And don't forget for the one who does make it, there are a thousand who didn't!!

So to all those hopefuls, for crying out loud go and check out your local community theatre scene and get involved in them as has been suggested by so many others.
I can tell you now it ain't glamorous, but it can be quite intriguing and you may even get some satisfaction from it.
About the only glamorous part is the bit you actually see on stage, which is only a fraction of the whole production. The thought "running around like headless chooks" springs to mind with some of the productions in which I have been invovled. But at the end of the night when there is hopefully a rapturous ovation you can then say to your self "I was a part of that", and it isn't half bad.

The rarified atmosphere is getting to me up here on my soapbox so I shall step down.
