15 year old requires acting job

I am 15 years old and love acting, but have not been able to do much of it as of yet. I am wondering how I could get an acting role or if there were any spots available. I live in NSW, it would need to be within the state. Can any one help?

i know exactly how you feel. i am in queensland in a very small town so i have nothing and hear about nothing in which i could act.

If you want to have roaring fire, put wood in FIRST.

If you want your car to drive you across town, put petrol in FIRST.

If you want to find a job, get out of the house FIRST.

If you want someone to value you as an actor enough to offer you money for it - you guessed it - put the effort in to become a valuable actor FIRST.



Everything has a price....and not necessarily a monetary value. The things you can buy are actually quite cheap and can be easily obtained. But it's the qualities you can't buy...The skills, experience and attitudes that are going to bring you success as an actor can only be bought by paying the price - spending the time working on them, putting the effort in first, and making yourself the most valuable commodity you can so that you stand out from your competition.
But the thing is, once you DO put the petrol in, your car is more able to grant your request. Once you put the effort in to become a valued performer, then you are more able to obtain the jobs you ask for.

"15 year old requires acting job" is never going to cut it. "15 year old displays so much dedication, skill, initiative, and pure charisma that everyone is climbing over themselves to secure them for the next job" possibly is. But only if you can get out there and prove it.

In Jr. High I took modeling and taught kids from the ages of 6 to 11, cheerleading. Now I'm a Freshman in High school and I was on the cheerleading squad, and the lit. magazine. Since Football cheerleading is over I have nothing left to do. Instead of jumping the gun and wanting to find yourselves on the big screen tomorrow, why dont you all go back to class, sit down, listen very carefully to what the teacher is saying, and LEARN HOW TO SPELL?
Come on guys, you want directors and producers to take you seriously? You want them to think you're going to be able to read and make sense of a text when you can even spell some of the most basic of words? And using words like 'peeps' just makes you look like a bloody idiot.
Really, I'm not just having a go here, I'm really concerned that spelling and grammar in young people seems to be getting worse and worse over the years. So tear your eyes away from your Playstations and pull your heads out of your arses and stick them in your textbooks instead, or you're looking at a long and difficult life.

I'm a theatre director and I can assure you i will never contact anyone off these pages for parts that i have open for any production.

The truth is I will audition (using the audition area of this website) and I will choose from the people who turn up and who I can judge for myself.

I understand it's good to feel proactive and it is also true that you can make your own luck as an actor but the absolute best way is to meet people, see theatre, be active and, of course, go to audtions.

There are a lot of things that i look for when I cast and none of them will be answered by a 'please cast me' posting on this website.

And please, please go and see some theatre. A little tired of auditioning actors who never see anything.
