Insurance question

I'm hunting down some PL providers, and was wondering if anyone has bought a policy from http://www.community-care.com.au/ I just went to do a quote, and it seems a bit strange to me that they accept payment straight away - submit a few details and you can pay immediately, without having anyone review it before hand. The site is recommended by an old community insurance thing run by the government, and I see it listed on another bunch of arts sites, but it does seem odd that there's no reviewing system. Any recommendations/opinions?

Hate to disagree... but

Hate to disagree... but when buying insurance from Duck for Cover, and looking into other policies, I've always been asked to provide a brief summary of the activities, which is then reviewed. They also always ask if you've had any claims made on any other policies you've had, and I would assume that any responsible insurer double checks this before covering someone. Despite the generic-ness of the PL policy at the community site, I would expect them to be more interested in the details before people hand over their money. There's a reason why some insurers refuse to cover fire-breathers, etc, as there is a higher risk than just plain old theatre. Duck for cover for instance, has a higher premium to be paid for anyone doing higher risk activities. Do I really want to be paying money to an insurer who takes my word for it? It seems sus that's all. I've looked into a lot of insurers over the years and have never come across one where you could pay before a review. Fun puppet patterns to make at home!
