Fri, 25 Aug 2006, 06:05 pmIt is sad to say that several of the shows on in Perth at the moment, both large and small, are not listed on this web site under the 'What's On' section.
This is a free promotion facility which we are all lucky to have, and yet recently I have had to try cross-referencing, looking up production companies and venues (one main one, still not even listed) in order to find the dates or times of shows that I have heard may possibly be on now.
Your audience shouldn't have to work hard to find you.
Don't let all your crew and actors work their guts out and not even list your production. Then wonder why no one has turned up!

Sat, 26 Aug 2006, 05:40 pmI hate to disagree - but I see more audition and production postings on this site than any other theatre-related site for Australians.
You can't find as many posts on Arts Hub, Performing Arts News, (perhaps auditions for QuietOnSet, but hardly any for theatre and hardly any production notices), or my site.
True, there are many people unaware of this site. But those that spend time searching for Australian theatre info will be sent here first... Remember, the Internet isn't all that old, and many companies might not have regular access or knowledge to use it.
