Fri, 4 Feb 2005, 12:17 pmActually, I have taken quite a considerable look at Community Insurance, and while they do offer 'once-off' policies for parades, street parties etc, they also offer insurance for theatre companies year-round. The online form has two choices - one is for the street party/parade/community event and one is for companies and performances. If you just want insurance for a season, then you can choose the street party etc. policy, although the policy assumes that you are going to have a huge audience and hikes the price up considerably. Whereas if you choose the theatre company/year-round policy it is much cheaper. Be careful when getting a quote though, as apparently the site reverts to a 'default' quote price on occassion (I actually have had this happen to me, and this is how it was explained to me by one of the Community Insurance people... I think it reverts during non-financial new year, because that's when you can buy the policy...although it appears that you can buy the policy year round anyway...which is why you need to be careful when getting a quote).
