Help with Public Liability
Sun, 30 Jan 2005, 10:43 amWe need to find a comapny who will provide Public Liability Insurance at a reasonable rate, we've been quoted $1200 which for a small outfit like ours is too expenisive. Can anyone help with any contacts

$1,200 seems fair.
Our theatre company just renewed our insurance for 2005. We paid $1,400 for both Public Liability and Voulntary Workers Personal Accident Insurance.
Consider the cost this way: it is a necessary expense, and if a total of 1,200 people attend your shows over the next 12 months, then the cost is just $1 per bum-on seat. What I'm saying is factor your running costs into ticket prices.
Sorry, I can't help with anything cheaper.
Cheers,
Russell
