Thank you to Grant

A few months ago, the ITA website turned 10 - that's ten years of looking after us theatre people, ten years of reviews, ten years of a community that has grown and developed. Several of the regular members and I got together and pitched in to get Grant Malcolm, the site admin, a little birthday present, as a way of saying thank you for his continued dedication and hard work making this website what it is. Although the last few months have seen some turbulence, we all appreciate and acknowledge the time, money and hours that have been/are put in towards making this site accessible to everyone. On behalf of Norma, Logos, Taurean, Labrug and myself, we all want to say a big thank you. Grant, I hope the pressie can buy you something to comfort you in those long hours! I invite other members of the community to leave a comment of thanks and show Grant how much we appreciate his voluntary work.

My sincere thanks to Na, Norma, Logos, Taurean, Labrug for their kind gift. I'll be sure to spend the voucher on something fun!

Some of you will be aware that I'm not shy of hogging the limelight when treading the boards, but as far as this site is concerned I think it's important that credit goes where it is due.

It's the contributions, compassion and commitment demonstrated by people like those above plus people like crgwllms, Gordon the Optom, Melz, Don Allen, Stinger, Kimberley, Dr Buttery, Kerri, Deano and the many others listed in the hall of fame and elsewhere on the site that keeps this community alive... particularly over the last few years while I've focused on family and career at the expense of my own desire to participate.

It's also important to note that this has never been a one man show back stage either! My particular thanks to Mark and Adrian for saving our collective bacon with the new server arrangements.

Those of you that have followed my mutterings over the years will know that I still have ideas about how this site might grow to better serve the performing arts community. It seems appropriate to kick this effort off in the tenth year of operation. So do stay tuned.
