Thank you to Grant

A few months ago, the ITA website turned 10 - that's ten years of looking after us theatre people, ten years of reviews, ten years of a community that has grown and developed. Several of the regular members and I got together and pitched in to get Grant Malcolm, the site admin, a little birthday present, as a way of saying thank you for his continued dedication and hard work making this website what it is. Although the last few months have seen some turbulence, we all appreciate and acknowledge the time, money and hours that have been/are put in towards making this site accessible to everyone. On behalf of Norma, Logos, Taurean, Labrug and myself, we all want to say a big thank you. Grant, I hope the pressie can buy you something to comfort you in those long hours! I invite other members of the community to leave a comment of thanks and show Grant how much we appreciate his voluntary work.

Like all ventures and productions, Theatre Oz has (and does) require a huge amount of hard work and dedication. There can be no doubt in anyones mind that the title of "Superman" (from Gordon the Optom) settles about Grant's shoulders like the legendary Man-of-Steel's own cape.

Here in Perth we know that this site is THE place to search for anything to do with theatre, but if you take a look at the "HIT WISE" logos on the left of your screen you will see that the rest of the world agrees with us...... 6 TOP TEN Awards ...(and for the knockers among you, please notice that the last one was awarded for January to March this year .... you know .... when the site was effectively down and running at about 1/4 strength???)

Theatre Oz is linked to by publishing houses, theatre companies and even talent agencies across the globe. Grant and his "people" have well and truly put our little city (the most remote capital city on the planet) on the entertainment industry map.

Thankyou for everything you have done for this site and for the people of Perth Grant.

(And you know what? ... Even with all this going on, Grant also finds time to act, Direct and lead a family life...... Seems there is a certain hitherto undiscovered realm of insanity that relates directly to "Theatre".....)
