Ragged Blossom Costume

I'm not 100% sure this is the right place to post this query - forgive me if it's not...

My daughter has got the role of Ragged Blossom in the end-of-year school musical, Snugglepot and Cuddlepie.

And guess who now has the task of coming up with a Ragged blossom costume :)

Help!

We're in Mandurah.  I have done a websearch in W.A. in the hope of finding some place that has one and will hire it out - I have sent email queries but not heard back yet.  Then thought someone here might know...

It's the costume for Ragged Blossom - my daughter is on the tall side for a 9 year old and wears a size 12 (children's size 12 that is) or a 14 if it's a small 14 or can be pinned to make tighter... or in adult sizing she can wear a 6 or an 8 and pin it.

So - can anyone help?  Any ideas?

thanks!

Rapunzels costume idea

Oh, THANK YOU... you've given me a great idea... IF I can't hire one and have to come up with something myself (shock! horror!) my daughter DOES already have an old fairy costume and if memory serves me well it is some kind of an orange colour and it already IS ripped... I certainly can use that I think... now just have to think how I'd do the hat.

I'm told Ragged Blossom does NOT have a "nut" hat like Snugglepot and Cuddlepie - because she's not a nut, she's a blossom (as all girls are, naturally :)) Does anyone know what it looks like or should look like?  I saw some vague photo on the web - but the photo wasn't very good - just looked like lots of yellow - but yellow what and does it cover the entire head or is it on some kind of a head band or ?

Any other creative folks on line like to have a go with some suggestions here?  And feel free again, Rapunzel - I really appreciate it and thank you again!

Cheers,

DFE
