Hanging Harness Required!!!!

HELP!!!
Without giving away too much of the plot, Harbour Theatre is looking for a way of 'hanging' an actor on stage, without actually hanging him in real life (is this what is meant by character assassination?). Does anyone have any suggestions how this can be done?
We've thought of a harness to suspend him, but don't have one. Does anyone know where we can get/hire one, or know of an easier and cheaper way to hang someone. Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated. In fact, you can call me direct on 9335 5917 (during civilised hours please) or email if you prefer to remain anonymous. Thanks.

Check with Hal he has a harness, hopefully he would have already contacted you with the offer.

Speaking to Norma the other day and checking the script, the warm prop who hangs can have the rope preset around his neck and the harness connected. The olny problem would be where on stage he would be anchored from? However as he hangs around thru the next scene there a number of possibilties???

Sorry about getting you worried, but this industry is about the most potentionaly dangerous, although it amazes the hell out of me how more arn't hurt on a daily bases - there is supposed to be an an angel or saint looking over us in theatre (ask Norma she will tell you who it is) logicaly there has to be someone or something?!?!

Now as for lightning thats a different story!

Have fun
