Headed out to Campbelltown fri night as I read they were doing my fave show of all time, RENT!, nervous and excited to see what they had done with Larsen's brilliance... Not only did they far surpass two previous productions of RENT! I have seen recently, but made me laugh, cry and moo! They didn't just play roles, they appeared to be LIVING them... Voices were varied, but beautiful, raw and passionate, relationships unfolded before and I actually believed them - Maureen and Joanne were just perfect, not butch and sterotypical, angel and Collins ripped my heart apart and Roger and Mimi burned me! The ensemble came together tightly, voices meshed in hot harmonies which tingled the spine... all up a fantastic performance! No day but today!

I saw both the Wednesday night (15th) and Saturday night (18th) shows and I just wanna say brilliant job to you all.

The person above, I agree that i noticed a few off harmonies, but that didnt take away from the show at all. Everyones voices were up to standard, and most of the cast beyond what i expected for an amatuer production.

The guy playing Roger, on the closing performance. You're either very good at pretending to cry or they were real tears.
"Your Eyes" was so emotional, I've never actually seen anyway play the character of Roger break down and cry. I thought it was so moving.
A very strong actor who understood the character he was playing.

Mimi...you have an amazing voice. Your level of emotion was outstanding. I was almost in tears to hear you sing "Goodbye Love". Incredibly heartbreaking.

Well done to the band as well. They sounded fantastic.

So yes, although there was some harmonies that didnt quite sound right (I Should Tell You and Take Me or Leave Me mostly)... for an amatuer production it was outstanding and passed all my expectations.

Can't wait for your next production.
Congratulations to all the cast, crew, band and anyone else that made this production happen.
