I have just returned home after attending the Blak Yak production of Amadeus at the Kalamunda Performing Arts Centre. I interviewed several audience members after the show for my theatre radio programme, and the word stunning was the adjective used by nearly all of them. The director Louise Carson played her cast along magnificently, the technical side and the scene changes, and the powerful dramatic build ups were a credit to her. All the cast were magnificent, but Eliot McCann (Salieri), Shenandoah Bruce (Mozart) and Emma Farrell (Constanze) were outstanding and received a standing ovation at the end. This is the best production I have seen for a long time, and you are mad if you miss it. Come on, you guys, Kalamunda is not that far away and there are some lovely eateries up here. Support community theatre, especially when it is of such a stunning standard.
