Yes, DEFINITELY do yourself a favour! This is a superb production. Congratulations to Louise for assembling and so capably directing such a fine cast, particularly Eliot McCann as Salieri and Shenandoah Bruce as Mozart ... the power and passion of their performances left me speechless (well, okay, as speechless as I could ever be!). Bravo to you both.

The rest of the cast were also fab (including those who uttered not a word!). In particular, Roger Trewick as the Chamberlain only had to move a millimetre to have me giggling, Julia Dalby made a nasty, supercilious count I began to hate (I think that was the point!), and Tracey Small and Nick Donald were perfect as the gossipy Venticelli. And thank you, Emma Farrell (Constanze), for ruining my eye makeup ... you and Mozart brought me to tears!

I loved the simple but effective set and the elegant costumes. The scene changes themselves were a work of art, elegant and unobtrusive.

Amadeus is only playing for ONE MORE WEEK. Alas, I won't have the time to go see it again, much as I would like to. But I can sum this review up in five words (I wish she would, I hear you say!) .....

D O N O T M I S S T H I S S H O W ! ! !
