No one can argue that Perth is the greatest place in the world to live. The relaxed, downbeat lifestyle attracts all but the most ardent anal retentives. Given half the chance, I'm sure most of us would spend all our time in boardshorts & bathers. Unfortunately, we're often constrained by the vagaries of fashion and the vicissitudes of the weather. Have you, like Dean Schulze, ever wished you could spend July in a bikini?

Well wish no more! Blak Yak Theatre is proud to announce auditions (on May 4) for our next production, "Psycho Beach Party." A comic parody of 1960s beach movies and horror movies, "Psycho Beach Party" started life as a stageplay in the '80s, spawning an underground cult movie starring Thomas Gibson (Dharma & Greg), Nicholas Brendon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under).

hey man, i was like being totally supportive of Black Yaks theatrical venture and merely voicing my opinion of the MOVIE (which was seriously, big time crap. no really it was. it could not have been more lame if it tried. Not even that guy from Dharma and Greg could save it. And to think that poor girl from Six Feet Under almost had her career fisted before it began. Just thinking about it makes me sick).

You know, I felt something needed to be said, and I said it. Psycho Beach Party or whatever the hell its called is celluoid turd. it was tv this one time. i watched some in the hope that it might get better and well, it just didn't. They stole and violated a good hour of my life. a film is supposed to entertain or engage as jason said, sort of, not make me feel dirty. not unless Ron Jeremy is in it. So.
so yeah, good luck with the play guys. don't let it blow like the movie.
