when certain people audition for certain plays and they are not cast they still expect to receive a courtesy call from the director. manners go a long way, especially for super sensitive and shaky performers

Malcolm,

Why not send a letter or an email? If a standard letter is prepared, all you have to do is sign and send. Some may see this as an easy way out but it sure beats finding out on the grapevine.
