Although it could be a sad indictment that they think fame and fortune etc is only a website or plaintive plea away. (But then, maybe, it is. You never can tell - nothing ventured, nothing gained)
Home & Away, Neighbours and whatever nationality Idol have a lot to answer for methinks in that respect.

Having read most of your previous posts and crgwllms's in reply to them there have been some superb thoughts expressed by both of you. And they all point to the same thing - the proverbial hard yards.

That word you have used - initiative - I have come to the conclusion that it is something that it is very much lacking in the people with whom I associate these days - some of them not that young. Very sad but unfortunately true. We seem to be less able to think for ourselves in today's society.

I wish all seekers of fame and fortune well, but don't hold your breath.
