I chasing sound and lighting courses in W.A. Would FTI be the best place to go? Or the academy? Prefer short term courses.
I live in Margaret River and manage the community cinema that operates in the Cultural Centre, under the organisation Arts Margaret River. We also have touring performances and local shows staged there. We have been discussing the benefits of having one of us fully trained in these areas as we can rarely afford to hire professionals from Perth or Bunbury (we are a non-profit organisation) so it seems smart to have a local. (more often then not, volunteering their time)
Has anyone any suggestions?

Alternatively if you would like to earn money in the process some audio visual companies do traineeships, i have just completed level 1 in Live production..
Its a 1 year traineeshp then later on you do hae the option to move onto level 2 and 3
