YEAR 12 TEE!!!!!
Sun, 17 Dec 2000, 10:56 amOK I know its a bit early but I am already starting to stress. Next year as part of The TEE Drama course for my practical part I have to perform a scripted monologue and make up my own performance. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good monologue I could use or any ideas I could elaborate on for my one man performance. I am a girl by the way.
RE: YEAR 12 TEE!!!!!
Fri, 29 Dec 2000, 02:19 amWell, I did my tee this year, and I suggest using one of the monologues from Jane Martin's "Talking With..."
You'll probably find that you'll need to edit quite a bit out of most of them which is really hard to do when you love every bit of them. :)
I used "audition" and I had heaps of fun playing around with the physicality of the piece. This one works really well to show non verbals and is a fantastic contrast if your solo original is really serious stuff.
My oterh faves from this play are "marks", "scraps" and "clear glass marbles". As someone said before me, it really depends on what kind of an actor you are.
Don't stress, TEE will be fine. You'll have plenty of time to work on everything!!! If you do need any help with anything in the future, feel free to email me or phone me or something, I'll be around.
ciao,
Bec
