Yes, I too have witnessed the particular splendour of Dan Wall's "Ed The Anti-Christ". I had the privilege of sharing Gold's Gym with The Right Dishonourable Peter Foss. He farted at one point; an astounding response from an (f)arts minister. Usually they're conspicuous in their silence. A full blown grunt is welcome by all and sundry, if only to confirm the minister is still alive.I enjoyed the play, for all its minute faults- by no means is this a fully fleshed out work, as I'm sure author and cast would agree. However it deserves your patronage (yeah, you reading this, I mean YOU!!), simply to prove to the cretins responsible for Artrage that Perth is actually interested in supporting local work, and that this body should treat these works with according dignity, as opposed to stuffing them in some derelict steroid barn!If you saw "Ed", tell the folks at Artrage to get the resources together to make Perth works viable, as (surprise, surprise) there IS a community that will respond.Elps: if my earlier comments offend, then either grow a skin or please recognize them as satire... and if you're Peter Foss, I hope you get burned bigtime in the upcoming selection process, you facile git.

Hi Jason and SamanthaA very quick response as i'm trying to get the new message boards up; in between MC'ing the Commonhealth Games, reupholstering my lounge and running the ITA Adjudicator's course. Did i mention i have a day job?> So yet again you're all prepared to make a noise here - having
> absolutely no effect where it matters? What's with this "you're all" business? There is no "us and them" here. Or is someone not telling me something? You've become one of the "all" by the simple act of participating in the debate. In so doing, you've demonstrated how broad that "all" is. I'd be careful about trying to categorise the entire audience at this site. Can i safely say we're a disparate bunch? ;)> Surely if you have a problem
> with a person or publication it is better to go to them so they are
> at least aware there is discontent with their actions in the community?Foss' staff are very aware of the existance of this website - a staff member in his office wrote to me some time ago seeking permission to include material from here in the Minister's Outing Perth webpage. hmmm... is there a hidden message there? There must be. The Outing Perth page is still blank.Pardon my cynicism, but how much notice do you think any politician takes of an individual letter or complaint? Our political process relies on like-minded individuals seeking each other out and lobbying for political and social change.I should think this page is a very appropriate place to raise any concerns with the state of theatre in WA. It may sound simply like whining (and perhaps occasionally it is!), but it fills other important roles such as encouraging community awareness of and participation in these areas of concern. It would be patently wrong to assume that someone posting their concerns here is not also actively pursuing the issue through other channels. There's a link below to a letter sent to the Minister on behalf of the ITA.Cheers
Grant
