Perth once had a healthy population of set-building companies who I've worked with at some time or another, such as M.E. Scenery, Designs In Dimension, Staging Connections and, of course, Arts Workshop. Having been out of the industry for about a decade now, about all I can suggest is to let your fingers do the walking - through the Yellow Pages. You might consider some of the display and exhibition companies which, although they don't necessarily specialise in theatre stage sets, do occasionally take on such work. Vaughn Emery of Corporate Theatre was talking about setting up a construction workshop ten or so years ago (he offered me a job), while there are other well-established companies such as Advans Display and Barrett Displays - all listed in the Yellow Pages. Worth a try, at least, although I would point out that they won't come cheap! Cheers, Tim.
