Hi, I am currently studying in Rockhampton QLD, doing a Bachelor of Performing Arts, the university we are a part of is also linked with La Salle. We have a Music theatre course in Mackay that i have heard is pretty good, but just as an example the performing arts degree I am doing is the best thing i could have found. I study dance drama and music as well as technical teatre aspects, and we learn from 'Industry Mentors' internationally recognised performers as well as trained lecturers. We still perform musicals every year, but we also learn more vaired skills that helps to ensure we are more employable over other areas as well. if you decide to look for somewhere in Australia to study, take a look at www.cqcm.cqu.edu.au and check out the courses offered here. i would reccomend it as do professionals in the industry!
