Hi all I'm confused :S I have been preparing for my WAAPA MT audition by 'performing' my songs as if I were in a production of the musicals...one in particular with quite a bit of movement...using a chair etc. My friend told me today, however, that there is an X on the floor which you are supposed to stand on, and that - although you can move slightly - you are primarily to simply sing with expression. Can anyone clear this up for me - particularly those with first-hand experience - because I am extremely confused...and worried :S I feel like a bit strange asking this, but I will feel even more strange if I 'perform' my songs at my audition to some very confused auditioners that expect me to stand on an X. Thanks :) x

So were you there when little miss came out of the audition gloating the she got a callback. Sitting on the 'coffee' table in the middle of all the other would be contenders bragging about how good she is. As if you do that. Once you audition you leave. How off putting for others or was that the plan. Get a grip she may be a good performer but her attitude is totally wrong. Doing shit like that no wonder people are bitching. Hey also if rules are rules how come she gets away with singing 2 ballads as she so happily liked to tell everyone. So from previous posts we learn, she arrived on the wrong day, spits the dummy, then returns to sing two ballads, she is just 18 and as she put it , the youngest in Year 12. Humm sounds and acted really mature No one questions her talent and hard work, WAAPA wouldnt have selected her right So..... . Its the attitude and the way rules are bent- like 2 ballads. Anyway she's in so we have ALL heard. lol lol
