What a great show
Catrina what can we say from the moment the show started to the finnish you captivated your audience, your take on Eliza Doolittle was magnificent.
for the rest of the cast as there was so many I thought you were all great.
Unfortunatly your backstage crew let you down a bit, with curtain trouble and noise.
Also a bit dissapointed in the band, seem to be out of tune a lot, the singers did well with what they had.
Got blinded by there lights maybe put some black shades on them to prevent the spill on to the stage and into the audiences eyes.
All in all though a great show.
I thought the set was pretty good.

This is the first time I have ever posted a comment on this website but I felt compelled to do this because of the nature of the last message.
This forum is for people to give honest and sensible reviews of shows and sometimes the reviews may be good sometimes they are bad. I do however wish to point out that the review given by "guest" was in my opinion disgusting and obvious.
I went to the show and found there were parts I enjoyed and parts I did not enjoy. That is the nature of theatre but for this critic to say that
"Eliza couldn't sing to save her life" is nothing short of pathetic. She sang perfectly well and often very well. Your comments "she let the whole cast down" and "it was gross to hear her sing one note" are not only ridiculously inaccurate but also desperately hurtful and unneccessary. Finally to say " she really shouldn't have another lead" is a pathetic attempt (no doubt ) to perhaps try and limit your competition.
To me this whole message smells of bitterness, immaturity and perhaps ignorance. It is more than reasonable to give an honest review of a show but this is more a slander campaign than anything else. You do yourself and this forum no favours by making comments that apart from anything else are quite simple untrue.
Anyone who saw the show would have some criticisms (including myself) but similarly anyone who saw the show would also have many positive comments to make.
One thing I am most sure of is that you would struggle to find anyone who agreed with your scathing personal attack on the portrayal of Eliza.
Shame on you!
To those involved with the show I would say well done.
The show was not perfect (what show is?) but on the whole very enjoyable with many wonderful moments .
Normally I would not single out individuals but would like to say Sean I felt you were fantastic and found myself thinking " I can't believe that is the same guy who played Val Jean" such was the level of your performance as Higgins. Alfred Doolittle made me laugh the whole way through. Colonel Pickering bravo for handling such a big role with great success. To the chorus you did very well with the highlight being Ascot where they brilliance of the facial expressions was surpassed only by the costuming
and finally, to Eliza (I think your name was Katrina?) hold your head high and please don't be upset by ridiculous reviews that have no basis in fact. I think you did a commenable job. You sang well and your acting was good. I know several chorus members and can say that they have had nothing but admiration for the job you did. Bravo!
