Why Do We Do This?
Sat, 1 Apr 2000, 08:36 amJust a quick ponder - why do we do this? Plays, I mean. After all the late night rehearsals, lack of sleep, occasional (!) in-house bitching & quibbles, blocking out Friday & Saturday nights for a period......why after all that do we suddenly miss it all and decide to launch into another production! Are we crazy?

Wed, 12 Apr 2000, 01:15 pmFor the rush of the adrenalin is one reason, apart from enjoying the rehearsals as well. No two performance nights are the same and I always wonder "who will stuff up tonight (including me)". I enjoy the teamwork, having to rely on each other to be helped out when needed. Also it is a big generation gap leveller. You can be in a play with someone young enough to be your son/daughter (or in my case) grandson/daughter and you talk the same language and think the same thoughts. Great! bfn :) Sidsel
