Why Do We Do This?

Just a quick ponder - why do we do this? Plays, I mean. After all the late night rehearsals, lack of sleep, occasional (!) in-house bitching & quibbles, blocking out Friday & Saturday nights for a period......why after all that do we suddenly miss it all and decide to launch into another production! Are we crazy?
