Hi all! I just signed up today so I have no idea if Im being rude and not having made an intro first like some forums require you to do so....please forgive me if this is the case. I havent been acting for quite some time now; perhaps a little over 10 years. I was mainly doing theatre and extras work, but was very keen on getting into film and tv just like a million other hopefulls hehe Im looking for representation and was wondering if anyone has heard of PG's Agency in Sydney? Private message me if its easier. I'm very much looking forward to being a part of this forum. :-) Sorry guys, I just wanted to also mention that I have read FAQ and did my research so now Im just looking for some personal experience or advice about this particular agent as its been a number of years since I've worked.

Anonymous Personal Advice

I feel I should advise you of one thing (and it is for ANYONE asking a question like this on ANY public forum) - Anonymous Advice. As has been observed numerous times on this site, you can never be certain who you are getting advice from, especially from GUEST or NON-REGISTERED users.

Often, you will get slanderous comments from rival agencies or people with a personal (as opposed to Professional) grudge, or self-promotional comments in the guise of various anonymous people.

That is why we say it is best to do your own research and make the Majority of your decision on that. Hence the extensive FAQ that you have read through.

I have done a little Google Searching on your behalf and have found the following

Quiet On Set information page - I get the Quiet On Set Newsletter, and while (for me) the focus is NSW, I have found their information to be reliable. The fact the PGs is here is a good sign, but not a Confirmation.

Vogue Forum where PGs is mentioned

I also found a number of actors prepared to state them as their agent - one on www.starnow.com.au

Most telling is the LACK of negative postings anywhere. Considering that they have been around for a number of years, that is also a good thing.

Finally, any agent that has this on their site wins a vote from me. Apparently, they host regular information sessions (see the link) so you may want to go to one of those.

All that said and done, the above points should be rated less significantly to the requirements to get on their books.
