Can anyone explain the origin of the expression "Chookas" (or "chukkas" or however it's spelt) to wish someone good luck in a show?

I must have used it or had it said to me a thousand times, but I can't say that I really know what it means...?

*Hi Craig .. where were you in June?

He was probably learning lines for Wolf Lullaby. He had a few, y'see Barb... DID you see, in fact?

*See this thread for a fairly exhaustive discussion on "Chookas" (or, as Joe McCabe says, "Toi Toi Toi Chookas")

Yeah, can someone get the McCabe to tell us what the oven-roasted hell "Toi Toi Toi" means? Is it "Tora Tora Tora" spelt badly or WHAT????
