Yes... the ITA have announced the list of Nominees for The Finley Awards 2007.

All will be revealed on the glamorous night - Saturday 19th Jan 2008 at the Lady Wardle Performing Arts Centre, St Mary's Anglican Girls School, Elliott Rd, Karrinyup. Fundraiser!! I'm not sure where that idea came from. Also, depending on your role in a given performance choosing not to take part / be involved with the excerpt COULD put the pressure on. Someone would need to step up and learn the role OR the director needs to choose another scene/excerpt to present or forego (is that how you spell that?) the opportunity to perform in front of the WA Theatre community. Tohrukun, I was not aware of any other reasons for Jeff not being involved or aware of the fact that 6 other people from the cast didn't take part so I do apologise to Jeff for jumping to conclusions. BUT I do know some of the people who performed in that same production and it was made clear to me that it had been a difficult time rejigging the choreography etc for the Finley performance. My point was simply, if choosing not to do an excerpt purely because you had to pay to see the show then maybe that was possibly letting some people down. And I will say it again this is only my opinion! Lastly if one doesn't wish to pay and see the show then simply do the performance and go home or sit out in the Green Room and watch it on the TV (if there is one) as I believe there was at Penhros.
