Is there anyone out there in Theatreland/ cyberspace who remembers the" Coffee Pot"This wonderful coffee lounge had a bohemium atmosphere and was the place to gather after seeing ,or being involved in a theatrical production;& where "theatre Junkies met to "chew the fat",debate, gossip, agree, disagree,& generally try to unravell the mysteries of the "addiction"The sinking of Perth Railway Station brought about the Pots demise but I can still recall the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and almost taste the ledgendary home made spring rolls & chutney.
It occured to me that this site is "The Pots" electronic replacement, with similar banter, high opinion, myth making & myth de bunking for which the lounge was famous.I enjoy following the debates, but, yes,I do miss the smell of the coffee,& of course the PEOPLE.

Yes, you old timers, after the Wellington ST Coffee Pot closed it reopened in Subi . I had mentioned that in my original posting but ran out of room & deleted it.I felt the Subi place never had quite the same atmosphere (you know ,like the first love affair;now, there's memory for you!)Barbara, you may be thinking of Subi & Jenni,as Dean suggests you are certainly TOO YOUNG to remember the original! Some one asked whether it was the people ,or the smell of the people I remembered. The answer is BOTH!!
