I recently received some upsetting news from the MEAA and have posted this news to my web site. You can find it here...

This comes at a time where the world is coming to Australia to make their movies. Do we really want to open the door and let the world walk right over us?

Regards All

It is rather short sighted, when the money spent on some australian TV adds, per broadcast minute, is about ten times greater then the amount spent on a localy produced TV series per aired minute, or that of a game show for that matter.

This is probably why good local production house's can't exit and are going down the karzee. The quality of local production's will be lost to these imported shows, that were obviously dropped and dicounted by networks on the other side of the world.

Which brings up another matter - where is our 'us' when we seem to be brain washed into believing that this 'U.S.' "Har-Har shows" are what we and "IT's all about".

Well Jeff, as "this is your quest", how do we "follow that star" and indulge in the "impossible dream" and/or what can we do, beside lobby, to bring this about - an further ideas?

Joe
