Important Information...
Wed, 7 Mar 2001, 03:02 pmWe would just like to rectify a little false advertising here...
The recent newsletter from Don Russell Performing Arts Centre states that Husky Productions "The Boyfriend" is brought to you by "the same people who brought you Chicago".
THIS IS NOT TRUE. In no way, shape or form is Husky Productions associated with Act One Scene One (the people that actually brought you Chicago). This advertisment was printed without our prior knowledge or permission.
Neil Husk was a technical director and Natalee Husk musical director for Chicago's original season. Those who saw Chicago will know that these were the worst two aspects of the entire show, due to the unreliability and unprofessionalism of those now related to Husky Productions.
This may appear slightly harsh, but it is from personal experience that we wish not to have ourselves or our company associated with Husky Productions or their upcoming "The Boyfriend".
Act One Scene One's current project, the second season of "Chicago", will be showing at the Bridge Theatre on March 23, 24 & 25. Tickets can be booked through Ticketmaster7 by calling 13 61 00. It is a truly fabulous show and we urge you not to miss out.
Regards,
Grant Capriotti and Julia Jenkins

Thu, 8 Mar 2001, 11:57 am"without prejudice" or is it?
"unreliability and unprofessionalism" by who's standards?
I would like to here from the t'other side of the fence.
Could it not be just a clash - which takes place during most productions with those who have strong artistic bent and won't bend to what they believe is unrealistic demands? What ever!!!
Maybe both parties need to 'common ground' thier ego's, as this industry is so big - if you flush the 'loo' here, you empty someone elses bath in Melbourne.
Lets get on with 'IT' and start scene two or Act Two Scene one?
The most cost effective and re-useable resources are human ones, so can we afford to knife each other?, beleive it or not you might need each other one day.
So IT might have been a bad time, add IT to your experiance and out do IT next time?
Isn't "That what we are about"
Just a 'tanners' worth.
