Bring Theatres Together
Thu, 30 Nov 2000, 01:48 pmI fully understand, that this web site is done out of the goodness of Grants heart (Voluntary), But with all the non-Western Australian requests for information is there a need to go NATIONAL.
The request for information alone must indercate that there is a demand for a superier theatre based web site
(build a Jacuzzi and they will come)
One centeral site with all the information that people need.
I am sure that there would be interested parties to invest to cover and costs or that annoying selling of advertising space.
Just a thought.

RE: Bring Theatres Together
Sat, 2 Dec 2000, 08:47 pmVictoria already has a theatre website that brings all the latest to the theatre community theatre people.com.au The east coast has not just Stage Whispers and a new magazine feedback and a new sydney site web will soon be launched.
-Well that may be the case, but having actually logged on to a lot of these sites (as I will be moving East next week) I don't think they are actually very good. I've found that the ITA website is definitely the best laid out and most accessible to a wide range of people.
advertising dollars are very scarce
-Since when was this website about money? Just curious what exactly advertising dollars have to do with anything?
Open you eyes to the other side of australia people and you will find they have plenty of theatre resources.
-If the Eastern States sites were so good, then we wouldn't have quite so many people from over there posting information on this site. If Grant wants to go National, I say more power to him. Go for it Grant, I look forward to being able to follow this site from Melbourne.
