What about the teens?
Sun, 5 June 2005, 10:05 pmHello,
Looking through this site, i see alot of auditions for older people, but none for the more younger side of actors, when you get into the real world people want expericence and how do you get that if you dont have the chance. I personally think its very harsh, I can understand the school bounderiies but there are school holidays, and theres still nothing, and Im not talking workshops, im talking productions and drama groups.
Regards
Abby

I know several university student filmmakers called for teens for some of their films on this site and were incredibly frustrated by the amount of teens who said they'd turn up and then didn't, or would cancel at the last minute.
Keep an eye on the auditions section in the bottom right - read each notice; you'd be surprised how often a teen is needed. And you'd be just as surprised as to how many directors get frustrated when no teens bother to audition.
Did you see this post from earlier in the year? They're not slaves to the age bracket mentioned, so perhaps you should drop them a line? And e-mailing or calling the director is probably the best.

hello everyone!
there is a new amateur youth theatre company, western suburbs youth theatre company, in WA requiring enthusiastic volunteers and new faces! we'd really like to hear from anybody aged from 18-25 (although this is just an indicator and not strict) males and females who are interested in getting involved in any aspect of theatre. we're a fun and energetic group aiming to produce quality youth theatre in an enjoyable environment.
we operate from nedlands, usually rehearse on the weekends and perform in mosman park. we aim to produce two major productions a year with several smaller plays performed in the intervals.
WSYTC has a membership of about twenty enthusiastic volunteers so this would be a great opportunity for anybody wanting to get really involved!
email me: square_cookie@hotmail.com to be added to the mailing list and notified of any future auditions or activities.
thanks!
