For all people who want to act

Whether you want to believe it or not, I'm a successful actor.
Everyone here who's asking for a role: Stop!
Everybody who looks at your messages are just kids - there's no casting directors or agents out there looking at your messages.
Believe me; you're not going to get any work by posting here.
Go to any theatre you've heard of, and do lots and lots of shows.
Submit a resume to every theatre you know of, and make yourself known!
The truth is: 99% of all actors actually get paid/professional work.
It's unfortunately the truth, even it is sad.
But if you believe in yourselves, and you really believe you have what it takes, then go for it.

Thu, 6 Jan 2005, 12:26 pmI have so called 'complained' about the amount of notices placed by kids. I have no problem with the posts themselves, or the interest and questions asked, and try to answer some myself. I think though, for all those people answering the questions, it gets repetitive. There should be a page on this site that answers all the questions in one go, so that kids don't have to waste their time trawling through previous posts for good advice, or have to have people posting back saying their sick of these posts. It might end a little confusion too.
Conversation is a good thing, but if we're all repeating the same conversation, it's not much of one, is it?
