I think that some of you are judging Troy a bit too quickly. Troy is a journalist and is working on a story. He didn't write that post to fool anyone or give anyone false hope. Since he is writing a story about young people who would do anything to make it into this industry, he wrote that post to use as research for his article. He wanted to prove that this business is a "dog eat dog world" business and that young people would do anything for their "big break." You hear all the time in the news, of teenagers meeting predators online and being raped or kidnamped or worse. He is just trying to prove that young aspiring actors might fall into that trap.

So you also say, that this website is for real audtions. I will admit that I am not 100 % familiar with this website, but are there any background checks of people before they post auditions? Do you really know for sure if an audition is real or fake? I think that is another point that needs to be made.

I do not think that Troy should apologize for doing his job and trying to protect young people from possible predators. I think people should thank him for alerting them to a problem. The last thing people want to hear is that a 16 year old girl answered an ad for a private audition and was raped.

So, before you send Troy to the electric chair, why don't you try to look deeper into his actions and not just assume that he was out trying to hurt people!
