HELP WANTED: Can this singer act..?

I'm a trained classical singer who has never acted... ever! Not even High School Drama!
I'd love to audition for some community theatre - but I'm lacking confidence!
I'd like to get some stage acting classes to give me a few hints - just the basic stuff.
I've googled and there are a few options in Perth.
I'm wondering what is good... and what is better?
Any recommendations? Suggestions?

That or take the plunge and start auditioning anyway. Auditioning is possibly the hardest part so if you can get over that before you land a part (as such) you'll be ahead of the game. You could always audition and offer to take on smaller roles and bake-stage. That way you get the Audition Experience while minimising the "risk."
