Hello Post Readers! I'm a trained classical singer who has never acted... ever! Not even High School Drama! I'd love to audition for some community theatre - but I'm lacking confidence! I'd like to get some stage acting classes to give me a few hints - just the basic stuff. I've googled and there are a few options in Perth. I'm wondering what is good... and what is better? Any recommendations? Suggestions? Happy New Years everyone :) Cheers Leah x

Leah, Whether you take classes or not (and they do help), it's always good to audition for the experience and to take roles if they get offered even if they are lesser parts. Along with getting the experience on stage you observe straight acting. This will help build up your acting CV and give a director more confidence in casting you. Perth is small and your reputation for small things like turning up to all rehearsals, taking direction well, versitile as an actor, good projection, etc can easily be checked up upon. It does take time to climb that ladder though so the sooner you audition the better. It takes time to get into the acting biz. Best of luck, B
