I wasn't really sure on which of the Bulletin Boards to post this, but as this one appears to be the most widely read, here goes!

A plea to Club Secretaries

In spite of constantly re-iterating the deadlines for clubs to enter plays for the Finley Awards, we are still receiving entries at the 11th hour (or Later) or urgent messages saying that "An entry will be on it's way soon"

Please could all clubs try to make the decision on entering (or not) a little earlier.

Also please note that the ITA office is NOT manned every day, usually about twice a week, so if entries arrive at the last minute into the office, it may well be several days before they are found! Last minute entries put a strain on the Adjudicators, especially when -as is usual- there are half-a -dozen productions all opening around the same time. At least one of this years Adjudicators juggles shift work so it can be a problem!

As Secretary of the ITA my email  address is widely available as is my phone number. A quick email to give me the basic details of a production will assist. Once I have these then I can inform all Adjudicators in good time.

Two clubs. so far, this year have entered their whole years shows-thus attracting a10% discount.  It's certainly one way of ensuring that you don't miss out as the ITA has "toughened-up" this year and will not be chasing up possible entries.

You have been warned !!

Is it possible all the.....

There is a wide range of "ITA forms available  by going to COMPANIES- WA - ITA.

however we really DO prefer hard copies of entry forms for Finleys and DramaFest (By the way the rules for both are actually on-line)

The reasons for this are. that

1. Not all companies have computer literate people on their committees. This is not meant to be offensive, merely stating a fact.

2. We made a decision originally not to have entry forms on-line as in the past the forms have been "sent to someone" and never seen again, presumably they are either still out in cyber-space or languishing in someone's in-box, forlorn and unloved.

3. If we could be ABSOLUTELY certain that everyone would send the forms to the correct place/person then we might be a little less rigid. The ITA is not "on-line" in itself, that is the office isn't, we all use our own systems, I do most of my work from home as I am more familiar with my own set-up and can do things at odd times (like midnight!!)

However my details- as Secretary: 0402.249.249 email davisrn@people.net.au for those who don't already know them!!
