I wasn't really sure on which of the Bulletin Boards to post this, but as this one appears to be the most widely read, here goes!

A plea to Club Secretaries

In spite of constantly re-iterating the deadlines for clubs to enter plays for the Finley Awards, we are still receiving entries at the 11th hour (or Later) or urgent messages saying that "An entry will be on it's way soon"

Please could all clubs try to make the decision on entering (or not) a little earlier.

Also please note that the ITA office is NOT manned every day, usually about twice a week, so if entries arrive at the last minute into the office, it may well be several days before they are found! Last minute entries put a strain on the Adjudicators, especially when -as is usual- there are half-a -dozen productions all opening around the same time. At least one of this years Adjudicators juggles shift work so it can be a problem!

As Secretary of the ITA my email  address is widely available as is my phone number. A quick email to give me the basic details of a production will assist. Once I have these then I can inform all Adjudicators in good time.

Two clubs. so far, this year have entered their whole years shows-thus attracting a10% discount.  It's certainly one way of ensuring that you don't miss out as the ITA has "toughened-up" this year and will not be chasing up possible entries.

You have been warned !!

A big 10-4 Jess

I concur with young Jess. I'll admit when I look for something it's usually staring me in the face (one of the downfalls of being a bloke). I couldn't find however, the form for entering a play for adjudication this year, on this site. Before you slit my throat Norma, I do know that the ITA mails these forms to member companies at the start of the year. I do know that the theatre company I am affiliated with are notorious for leaving things to the last minute and cannot apologise enough for that. I do know the ITA do a tops as job organising the adjudication process, but it would be fantastic to be able to access these forms quickly from the ITA website. Again, if Ive missed them and they are on here, I apologise, but we find ourselves in a position where the forms that have been posted are MIA and we need them ASAP. Would you be able to send me the entry form at alex_jones9@hotmail.com You are an absolute diamond and anyone who says different will have me upside their head. Cheers, Alex.
