Hiring an Agent
Mon, 11 Sept 2006, 08:37 pmHey
I was just wondering what are people's thoughts on Agents
Are they worth hiring or should i just search endlessly for the Auditions myself.
What is the best way of going about finding an agent?
Do people have any suggestions? I would love to here from both sides people with agents and those without

Look, I'm sure most people
Tue, 12 Sept 2006, 01:56 amLook, I'm sure most people will be aware of this, but agents aren't the shit they're cracked up to be. If you have an agent, then great. If you don't then you will know that the world hasn't/won't collapse. Yes, they give you access to work you may not have found out about, and yes, some casting folk won't give you a guernsey without one, but there is the other side to the coin where they are just more trouble than they are worth. My advice, if you know where you want to be and can't get there by yourself, then give an agent - any agent that doesn't charge you - a try. If that doesn't work, try something else. Remember, you know where you want to be. I give the same advice about theatre training. As in schools; NIDA, VCA, etc.
